Daily Psalm 7/4/25 (Psalms 4:5)
Psalms 4:5
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD.
I am a problem solver by nature. In fact, I believe that’s how God wired me. Which makes what I heard today from Hom very interesting.
After researching and meditating on Psalms 4:5, this is what I heard from God: “Turn to Me, not your intellect. Have your first instinct be turning it over to Me and trusting Me instead of trying to figure it out yourself and tactically getting to the outcome you think needs to happen.”
Wow! That’s very counterintuitive, considering that I believe God has wired me to analyze and solve problems. However, it’s just like God to challenge me to depend on Him instead of myself, even though He created me.
Most commentators agree righteous living is viewed as a sacrifice because it costs us comfort, pride, or personal advantage and represents a deliberate offering of our obedience and integrity to God as an act of worship, replacing mere outward rituals with genuine devotion and trust in His ways.
Thank You Father for always challenging me to trust You and Your desire to accomplish what concerns me!!!!
